Chakra Acupuncture
Acupuncture is several thousand years old, is very well established in today’s world of natural and complementary medicine and is usually offered in medical clinics and modern hospitals in East Asia where it originated.
Chakra Acupuncture is a system which Dr. Susy Macsay has developed, and it is a powerfully relaxing, balancing and transformational protocol combining the wisdom of Chinese and Asian Medicine with the wisdom of Yoga and its Chakra and Nadi system.
The Chakras were mentioned already several thousand years ago in India in the ancient Vedic texts and are often described as balls of concentrated energy. Nadis are lines of energy running vertically inside the body, much like the Acupuncture meridians.
There are 7 main chakras. The first Chakra is located right in front of the tip of the tailbone and the following 3 are in front of the spine. There is also a Chakra in the neck, one inside the head and the 7t , the crown chakra, is said to be located above the scalp.
The chakras vibrate in different colors, correspond to different emotions, nodes of music and more, and each chakra is associated with each of the 7 endocrine glands in the body, such as the adrenal glands, the gonads/sexual organs, the pancreas, etc.
Hair thin needles are placed in points that are often distant to the organ or body system that is being treated, and there are several hundred therapeutic acupuncture points distributed all over the body, including ear and scalp. However, during Chakra Acupuncture no more than a dozen needles are placed at very strategic Acupuncture corresponding Chakra points.
The purpose of the needles is to release blockages and ensure a “smooth flow of qi”/energy through the meridians and the Nadis, which will have a positive influence on the chakras.
There is a branch of Acupuncture called Esoteric Acupuncture which focuses on spiritual and emotional well-being, very similar to the Chakra Acupuncture system that Dr. Macsay has developed.
Receiving Chakra Acupuncture is very pleasant and relaxing, with only occasional minor discomfort in the form of a brief stinging sensation. Most people simply fall asleep and reluctantly wake up when it is time to go.
Just as with exercising, it is more effective to receive treatment on a regular basis, though one or two stand-alone sessions can be very beneficial as well.
Chakra Acupuncture is a system in and of itself, independent of Western or Chinese Medicine diagnosis, and does not require tongue or pulse diagnosis either. Whether you are suffering from e.g. headaches, anxiety or insomnia the needle placement will be the same.
