Medical Marijuana Evaluation


Arizona allows their residents to have a medical marijuana card if they qualify under certain conditions. Are you curious about medical marijuana, but not sure who to turn to? She will also discuss the benefits and risks of medical marijuana and talk about the most common cannabinoids and their effects.

Qualifying conditions for medical marijuana in the state of Arizona are as follows:

  • Acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS)

  • Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)

  • Crohn’s disease

  • Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)

  • Agitation of Alzheimer’s disease

  • Cancer

  • Glaucoma

  • Hepatitis C

  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (Requires documentation that patient is currently undergoing conventional treatment for PTSD.)

    If a chronic or debilitating disease or medical condition or the treatment for a chronic or debilitating disease or medical condition causes:

    • Cachexia or wasting syndrome

    • Severe and chronic pain

    • Severe nausea

    • Seizures, including epilepsy characteristic

    • Severe or persistent muscle spasms, including those characteristic of multiple sclerosis
